FIRST CALL
This year's conference of civil engineering and architecture students "We Shall Have to Cross 2019 (Valja nama preko 2019)" is organised by: Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Mostar, International Association of Civil Engineering Students IACES OG Mostar, and Student Union of the Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Mostar. As in previous years, all faculties that are part of the family of civil engineering, architectural, geodesic and geotechnical faculties from the region and beyond are expected to participate. In the official part of the conference, students will present their papers in the fields of civil engineering, architecture, geotechnics, geology and geodesy. It is planned to make several field visits and various forms of social events.
The official language of the conference is English. In addition to English, papers can also be sent in Croatian, Serbian and Bosnian.
Students should prepare their papers with the help of professors and teaching staff from their respective universities.
Important dates:
ü 1 May 2019 (extended to 1 June 2019) to 1 June 2019.: The deadline to apply for participation in the Conference (filled and submitted application form).
ü 1 July 2019: The deadline for submitting an abstract.
ü 1 September 2019: The deadline for submitting the complete paper.
Students without a paper, who only wish to attend the conference, will also be able to apply. The link to register for this type of participation will be open from 1 May – 15 September 2019.
Abstracts of all papers will be printed in the book of abstracts, which will be published before the conference begins.
The papers that pass the review will be published in e-Zbornik, the electronic Journal of the Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Mostar, part of EBSCO and HRČAK databases, which can be an important reference for students and young researchers, but also for the faculties they come from. However, connecting study programmes and students, and orienting them towards current trends in scientific research, is what we find as the primary and most important result of this conference.
